This first course in a set of three will provide you with the skills and techniques to use this widely used software product as a key tool in the initiation and management of major projects.This course will benefit both beginner and experienced users of the product, with comprehensive demonstrations of the major elements of Microsoft Project 2016 within the context of the Initiation and Planning processes of a typical project life cycle. Part II in the series deals with the use of Microsoft Project within the Monitoring and Controlling phases of major projects. The third and final course in the series provides a comprehensive guide to successfully achieving professional certification in Microsoft Project.
Each course includes a comprehensive set of exercises which will allow you to consolidate and enhance the skills acquired during the course lectures. Solutions for all of the exercises are provided.
The course has been developed using Microsoft Project 2016, but can be taken using the 2013 version. Links are provided to a 60 day trial version of Microsoft Project 2016, so that even if you are completely new to the software you will be able to complete the course.
With over twenty years experience as a systems analyst and project manager with a background in the design and implementation of major projects for some of the worlds largest companies, Dave changed career track in 2000 and has been a professional educator for over sixteen years at college level. His main interests are in Project Management, Business Information Systems and Process Analysis. Dave has a B.Sc (Hons) from Trinity College Dublin and an M.Sc Degree in Computing.
